Plantronics Gamecom 380. Very comfy. 3.5mm jack for audio and mic.
Use it for PC gaming
It's a very comfy set of phones. I had a problem with my last pair with the volume button where it would only play sound in one ear sometimes. Very quick and easy RMA though.
I've had Sennheiser before, but I found the sound in one ear would go after a while. (2 different over the head models, can't remember which, but it was a while ago)
But the plantronics I have now are around £20 and are great. No reason to change.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Main 'audio' phones = old set of Stax Electrostatics. I bought them yonks ago, and while by no means cheap, it was before prices went stratospheric.
Backup audio / late night TV (wife in bed) = Sennheiser HD.... something, HD580?? Decent quality, about £100+, about 10-15 years ago. The ear rests need replacing though. Must do that.
Portable earphones = Shure ... something. EC2, I think. High but not top end, and superb sound.

Also got two Sennheiser sets, and had both for at least 10, probably 15 years. No problems with either, beyond foam protectors degrading. Just differing personal experiences, I guess.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Are your Stax the big box shaped ones ? IIRC they also came with mini speaker stands and you could use them as small speakers !
Re: Which headphone do you have?
No, the actual headphone bits are round, not the rectangular ones. The 'transformer' (yes, I know it's not, exactly) is of course rectangular.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
I've tried both the Stax Lamda and Omega II. Both rather different, but amazing. Can't justify splashing out on them at the moment though.
I went with the AKG K701 and Grados HF-1 and rotate between them depending on my mood.
I really love the sound stage of the AKG and picked it over the Sennheisers, Beyerdynamic, other headphones I've tried, but none of them have that airy wide sound-stage (note I've not tried the HD800 and other super high-end dynamic headphones in that class).
For something portable but open (i.e. I want to hear what goes around me), I use the Koss KSC-75, and if I want to block the outside noise and not annoy my surrounding (e.g. commuting train) I have opted for the MEElectronics A151. One thing I've come to realise is that I don't really want to spend a lot of money on something I want to take outside often and those two are both great bang for buck.
I used the Sennheiser CX300(-II) before the A151 but found the A151 to be better, and I also like the fact that it comes with a small box. I've killed countless portable headphones because sometime I inevitably need to take them out, and without anywhere to put them in I just shove them into my pocket and eventually the wire dies. I am still on my first A151.
(Edit: I just looked at the price, it seems that the A151 is almost double price the price in the UK compared to Japan.. on the other hand, you do have the M9 which is discontinued in Japan and can't be found without paying silly price).
Re: Which headphone do you have?
I do have a rather full history with headphones !
1971 - Eagle SE40, bought in The Drapery Northampton, when I worked at Brierley's, my first proper job (yep, I even remember the model, my first ever set).
Sennheiser HD414, almost ubiquitous in their day, then I moved onto Koss, had the Pro4AA, then the LC from a closed down recording studio, they really were the best you could get at the time. Later I had the Pro4AAA which were frankly rubbish, and the Koss electrostatics (ESP10 ??), which were nice but really heavy and unwieldy. I've had Grado, AKG, Sony, but I always come back to my Sennheisers :)
Re: Which headphone do you have?
I have the free iPhone 6 ones, they do the job!!
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Using Apple's Earpods but I like Sennheiser and want to get one:)
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Got a pair of Sennheiser RS160 cordless, had 'em a few years now and like them a lot. Link
Also have a pair of corded Beyerdynamic DT-211's. And for the iPod & iPhone Sennheiser HD 218's.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Corsair H2100 greyhawks, great headphones, use them mostly for gaming and music.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Got myself a pair of Senn HD 518's for my in the house listening. Pretty good sound quality IMO but REALLY comfy. Very large, very padded and very airy, which keeps my ears cool.
For travel and most day-to-day use I have a pair of SoundMagic E10's. Fit well and sound great for the price. Would recommend to anyone looking for sub £75 in-ear headphones.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
AKG 550s
Audioengine N22 Amp
Dali Zensor 1 Speakers
Asus Zonar D1
The N22 is primarily a speaker amp, but includes a half-decent headphone amp. The AKGs don't really need amp'ing mind you, but the PC is parked under a desk, so it's handy point of connection and volume control. I use them for gaming and occasionally music as and when it would otherwise be antisocial. I chose them primarily for comfort, the closed back design, and neutral sound. They make my old Corsair headset sound and feel like a toy. I think I might be in the process of developing another expensive habit besides PC kit...

Not knocking your choice (audio is all preference based anyway) but I tried the 550's. And found them terribly boring. It's a very neutral sound as you said but even then, when I put a pair of closed back headphones on and play something with a heavy bass line ( a la Nirvana ) I expect to 'feel' the low end and be truly immersed. I just didn't get that with them though. Only real complaint with them as they're perfect pretty much everywhere else but the aesthetic is hit or miss IMO.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Sennheaiser PC360 GAME on analogue jack into a good sound card.
Like the microphone, like the volume control on the ear piece, love the long term comfort and adore the sound.
Open backed to on low volume I can hear people chat if they need too.
top top cans.
Re: Which headphone do you have?
Kingston HyperX cloud for gaming on a default on-board sound card.

I've seen some people claim them to be too flat, but also one or two say they are bass-heavy. Like you say, it's very subjective. For one, the fit makes a difference. A big noggin like mine gives a snug fit which seems to improve the bass. A slight tweak to the EQ on the Xonar software and I found them to be perfect; absolutely plenty of low-end, even compared to my old Sennheiser cans. While they're not difficult to drive, they don't work so well with mobile devices. I like 'em.
