DIY wireless charger, or cheap charging mat.

Has anyone had any experience with creating a diy charger as this seems the cheapest way into wireless? Or would buying a generic charging mat eg. Duracell powermat and potentially modding it be the best option? Btw I have a galaxy s6.

Why not just buy the Samsung charging mat?

Because I'm not sure £20ish is money well spent to mealy save me plugging in a wire.

Your are buying a £400 or so phone! It's not a lot on top! What mods were you thinking of doing to a generic one?

No I own an £400 phone spending more on top of that just to avoid wires seems excessive. As to modding it I wanted to try and avoid having even more stuff on my dressers counters ect. so maybe install it into a lamp base or the arm of my sofa to avoid more clutter.

I agree, you bough an expensive phone and now you want some unofficial way to charge your phone, sound risky to me.
