    2 in 1 tablets

    Hello,

Why is it that 2 in 1 tablets like surface pro and google pixel c advertise the keyboard as a major feature yet sell it separately for over £100 when the device are not exactly cheap to start with?

when I saw the announcement for the original surface pro I liked the concept until I discovered the price and was outraged that the keyboard wasn't included and cost over £100. I wouldn't pay that much for a keyboard for my desktop pc and I use that everyday.

If you don't need something really powerful, the ASUS Transformer T100HA is your friend. Below £300 and has the keyboard included, been looking at possibly getting one myself. It is surprising that so many charge such high prices without including the keyboard though.

That is what you call a "Marketing Strategy". Sure it is a 2 in 1 tablet but you won't get the keyboard unless you buy it. And they will tell you to enjoy they 2 in 1 feature it is HIGHLY recommended to purchase the keyboard built for it.

Google had a developer discount for the Pixel up until recently, 25% off. You dont need to be a developer btw. This offer has finished but with Google IO this week I suspect there will be something else.

Personally it find it good without a keyboard; nice to have the option rather than a loaded price for something I will never use.
