Decent (cheap) fitness band
Hi,
I'm getting into collecting my stats in Google Fit, but keep forgetting to take my phone with me so I miss out on the steps, anyone know of a decent fitness band that will deliver stats to Google Fit, and doesn't cost a huge amount? I don't really want to go the Smartwatch route, I'm not bothered enough to spend £200+...
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
Fitbit ..market leader and relatively cheap?
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
Mi band 1s? Cheap and cheerful, app is reasonable and battery lasts forever. Fairly sure that it links to Google fit
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
I have the Fitbit Charge HR - around £100 (slightly cheaper online - I was a bit impatient so bought it in store.) Good app setup and seems pretty good. Plus you can run challenges on number of steps on a day/working week/weekend with friends with Fitbits, which gives a little motivation.
Device itself seems well built, though I have only had it a few months.
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
You could pick up a Moto 360 for under £100 if your budget is that high?
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
garmin vivosmart hr - measures HR so u get that data as well?
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll take a look at the Xiaomi first, I want just a band really, I've already got a watch which my wife bought for me, so I need to carry on using that! But, I'm going to see what I get for my birthday first...
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
1+ Fitbit Charge HR, has a Android app, Windows 10 Store app, Windows normal program. Good tracking data, Heartbeat, Steps etc

Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
Oops. Bought it already. Still, at £19, if the new one's good, I can give this one to the missus...
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
My son has my old 1s but it's meant to be for my wife, he seems to have claimed it! I reckon I'll pick up the new version to play with and my wife can have it as I've got the moto 360 for those basic needs.
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
Well, it arrived and I stupidly synced it halfway through the day, so my long walk to and around the village got wiped.
Rather concerning is that it reckons I'm only getting just over an hour of deep sleep a night. I thought the 1st night would be off because I'd had a few adult drinks, but it turns out it was the same the next night.
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
I never got a huge amount of deep sleep either, but my wife and son have tried the band and it says they got lots more so I assumed it was correct and I'm just a bad sleeper.
Re: Decent (cheap) fitness band
I have the xiaomi 1s and for £13 its great
