Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
I'm in the process of selling my 64gb 4th Gen iPad and looking to replace it with an android tablet instead. Looking to spend between £100 and £180, but probs somewhere near the £150 mark. Not too bothered about it being full sized or mini, more bothered about the spec, display and speed being most important to me. Preferably something which is going to run Marshmallow. So far the 32gb ASUS Nexus 7 (2013) stands out, but the lack of microSD slot putting me off slightly. Any advice will be appreciated.
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
If for anything I would go with mentioned by you Nexus tablets, hopefully Google will announce new tablet along with new phone closer the autumn. Certainly other companies will. I would wait till that happens

Have a look at the nVidia shield tablet k1. £150 for an 8" 1080p screen, quick, good graphics. The only problem you might have is getting hold of one. They're stupid prices from Amazon marketplace, but sometimes they pop up on bt shop or the nVidia site itself.
Take a look: https://shield.nvidia.co.uk/tablet/k1
Edit: it's marshmallow as well so although it's only got 16gb, it's got sd and adoptable storage.
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
The nVidia looks spot on, exactly why I am after, but as you say, sold out everywhere! Will just have to keep an eye on the stockists sites every day and hope a few get delivered! Cheers!
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
I've got the PriceSpy app, I think you can set up alerts for when stock comes in, not sure it if covers all shops though.
And BT Shop have it for £137, but out of stock, although they say more is due in. That's where I got mine from.

Also worth a look is the Asus ZenPad 10 for £150. Only 1280 x 800 pixels, but a 10 inch screen, 1.4 GHz quadcore, microSD slot and 2GB of RAM. Asus has said that the ZenPad will get Marshmallow.
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
So, looking online and it's looking very unlikely it's going to be coming into stock, BT have removed all ETA information, scan saying a delivery is over due since 9th June. So, as I want something for my holiday in a couple weeks time, any other recommendations? Is the nexus the next best thing, despite the lack of MicroSD?
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
You could go with Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 from gearbest. I think they have an android version. Good tablet imo. I got a Xiaomi phone and it runs perfectly.

Had a look at the ZenPad the other day, looks decent, think I may well go for that, cheers!
EDIT: been reading some of the reviews online and many complain about it being slow and full of bloat ware, all of the review sites put the Nexus 7 well ahead of it.. So still undecided

The Zenpad S 8 seems pretty decent, nice hi-res screen and fast performance, available in 32gb, but still on 5.1, and to get the 4gb RAm model, you have to go for the 64gb one which is like hen's teeth.
Re: Best Android Tablet £100-£180?
Thanks for all your help, ended up going for the 32gb Nexus 7 from Amazon, mainly due to the fact that all other tablets that come close to it for that price are impossible to get hold of! As a compromise for it not having a microSD slot I will get a usb cable which allows the connection of thumb drives.

I know it's no use now, but I've just had a notification from EBuyer that they have the K1 back in stock...
