    Media Player

    HI All,

I've a new job which means time on the road and away from home. I'm after a tablet as a media player for movies. Accordingly, what are your suggestions for a tablet whose only required specs are being cheap, a good screen (>1080 or better) and loads of storage ?

    Thanks

If you have an Amazon Prime account then a Kindle Fire HD is cool and storage can be expanded.

I took my older model Kindle HD with me on Holiday, downloaded quite a few albums and movies from Prime to watch while travelling, you get 48 hours between having to be connected to internet to authorise.

    Re: Media Player

second hand nexus 10? still happy with mine although my usage is very limited nowadays. I've not experienced any issues with my battery but I've seen posts complaining about it not holding its charge, so something to consider if you're looking at one.

I had a blackberry playbook and that had 64gb of storage and stereo speakers.

Not supported anymore but should still play all media

Nvidia Shield K1? Great specs but may push the budget a little more?

What's the performance like on it. Saw these before but the CPU is a bit suspect to me. It seems to be clocked a little slow.

Luckily - I've found a 2nd hand Asus VivoTab ME400C for £60. Looks like just the ticket.

Amazon Kindles were £30 at Christmas, wish I got one as they haven't reached this price again.

The Whiff got a Samsung Galaxy... Tab A or Tab E, I think. 10" screen thingy from John Lewis, for under £100. Pretty darn good specs, IIRC.
