    Thinking bout a new phone

Have a Nokia 6600 at the moment, and want to change. Not desperate for a camera on the new phone. Looking at the motorola Rzr. Any recommendations?? Want good battery life. Would prefer a nokia, as whenever i have bought a non Nokia i have had terrible probs.

    All suggestions welcome!!!

Well, if you want something similar to your 6600 then look at the 6630. It improves on the 6600 but having a CPU that's twice as fast, has a 1.3MP camera, supports 3G data speeds, has a hot-swappable memory port, supports stereo mp3 playback and has a newer version of SymbianOS on it.

The other major Nokia smartphone at the moment is the 7610/6670. Slightly thinner than the 6630, but lacks stereo sound and a few other things. That's not to say it's a bad phone though - especially when you consider all of the "Best Phone of 2004" awards that it won.

Further down the line, there's the 6230 but I've never really tested one out so I can't personally comment on how good it is. It's sold really well though.

As for the V3, it's not really my cup of tea. It's one of those phones that has instant appeal - it looks good and the packaging it comes in is very nice. Motorola's UI is rubbish and I've heard a few reports of the phone white-screening/rebooting itself. If you can put up with these niggles and want a simple and sleek phone then it might be for you.

Do not get a Rzr if you want good battery life, my brother in law needs a fgood battery on his as he is a pilot and goes on week long trips and hates finding adapters etc, he bought a rzr and the battery lasts less than two days on average use.

My 6230 on the other hand will easily last 7 days on medium usage, its a cracking phone, and bar the C500, I think I will get another for next year....

I have a Nokia 6230 and think they are way overrated. I can't wait to upgrade mine. It's probably the best phone I have had, but i bought it as an MP3 player and i wish i had not bothered and got an standalone MP3 player. You can't edit playlists on the phone and Nokia Suite is completely rubish for MP3 management. If you buy a 6230, make sure you buy MobiMB, it's soooo much better. Also, you can't use your own headphones either and the nokia ones really bug me. And don't believe a word anyone says about the video, it's pants on the 6230.

Check out this badboy. It allows you to use any headphones you like on practically any Nokia phone.

AT LAST!!!!! A couple of months ago I searched and searched but it turned out that no one actually made one. Chears for that mate, im amazed that it's taken a company so long to realise it.

Yeah, it's a bit expensive but Nokia headphones are so pap that it's definately worth it.
