New phone due - problem is, nothing currently on the market suits...
So, about 2 years ago I was talked into moving to a Samsung J3 from a series of Blackberrys (Curves mainly). And I hate it. I hate it with a passion. The screen gets dirty and doesn't respond well to my touches (I'm pants at touchscreens), it has no memory, doesn't do anything useful, has uninstallable apps like Twitter (for pity's sake!), I'm scared of cracking the screen, and it just generally sucks.
I realise I'm not a standard modern user, and I don't really need full smartphone functionality in most ways (no apps, no media, etc) but I can't just shift back to a basic numeric keyboard phone, as I am partially deaf and require GOOD rapid text and email functionality for both business and social purposes (and I can't type business emails on a numeric pad!). I can't just use old Blackberrys, because they are no longer supported with Blackberry online services, so are spiked right out of the gate. Ideally, I'd like a physical keyboard, but the new Blackberry models are too wide for my hands, and there is almost literally *nothing* else of that type out there.
At least as far as I can tell...do any of you know any better? I'm happy to change provider, and, for the right phone, would be willing to pay more than my current £12-ish a month...

I'm not sure there's really anything that will suit you properly for a sensible price. The only things I can think of are the Moto Z Keyboard Mod (not cheap, on top of a not cheap phone) or the Samsung Galaxy S7 Keyboard Cover. Or the £500 BlackBerry KEYone...
There don't even seem to be any 'feature phones' with qwerty keyboards anymore :(

*edit, sorry, misread the non-numeric pad requirement
Re: New phone due - problem is, nothing currently on the market suits...
Just get a half decent smartphone, disable the twitter app and stick it in a decent case with a hard glass screen protector. My phone has never been so dirty that it doesn't respond to touches, maybe it's a failing of that particular model.
Are you looking beyond the phone shops for a handset? - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, Honor 9 Lite are great phones for the money, as are the readily available Moto G5, Nokia 5 and Vodafone's Smart 8 (if you're OK with Vodafone as a provider).

None of those recommendations have a QWERTY keyboard as the OP has asked though.
