Anyone recommend a company to go with?
I've got a nice D500 in Black and wish to protect it against theft, accidental damage, loss and malicious use.
Cheers,
Nick

Get decent home contents insurance. Mobile insurance is mostly a rip off. For example, i was offered o2's insurance at £10 per month and £25 excess for my £200 phone. My £10 a month home insurance covers me for £30,0000 and £1500 away from home, accidental damage loss and thieft. Do the maths, even with a £50 excess I can make nearly 3 claims for a new phone each year and it's still cheaper.
Good advice, I'll check it outOriginally Posted by dangerous_dom
only thing I would say about that is that your house insurance premums will go up if you clim yet mobile insurance is a fixed rate, when you factor in the maths on that it may not be better to go with household insurance...

A good point, so make sure you find out how the insurance company deals with mobiles. Most are quite good and my claims have not effected my premiums at all (although I have lost my no claims bonus, but im not really bothered about that - it would only save me about £1-2 a month after not claiming for 4 years anyway!). Most companies will be the same as mine (Barclays insurance).Originally Posted by visidigi
