But mainly for other stuff where you might want to change your location...

Can't get the VPN to work when on Virgin at home though, do they block browser-based VPNs? Or is it that my Asus router is blocking it?

The VPN works on Windows and I am on Virgin

Works fine for me and has done since I started using it a couple of years ago. I started using a paid-for VPN about a year ago though so haven't used the Opera one much recently. I'm also on Virgin.

Haven't tried on desktop yet, but phone-wise, I'm quite pleased with it...

The majority use case with new rules in mind probably doesn't have connecting speed as a concern. As long as there's no buffering...

And the issue was with AIProtection on the Asus. Switched it off, all works fine...

The connecting speed is very low when using the built-in VPN. no much help indeed
