Anyone else quite excited by their launch? 5p texts, 15p calls, no line rental - could save most people a fortune on their phone bill!
Anyone thinking of changing over to them?

That 5p Text is looking good....
15p any network anytime is also pretty good, but I get 400 minutes free to any network anytime for £25 a month.
That's a good price if it's not 3, I've, thankfully, just finished a contract with 3 and I personally had too many problems with them. What network are you on??Originally Posted by DeludedGuy

I'm on T-Mobile, been with them for 15 months.
This is how I managed to get the 400 minutes....
I registered for the online contract everyone 200 for £25, then my contract finished, and I called in to cancel my contract. I told them I could find a better one (3, 500 mins for £30) for the same price, she told me she would speak to her manager....2 minutes later she offered to double my minutes and stay the same price....I couldnt refuse
And what problems did u have with 3? My cousin is on it, all he says is that the reception is not brilliant.
Not bad at all m8, yep 3 problems, I had loadsssss, have a look at just a few http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=39719Originally Posted by DeludedGuy

Strangely enough, easymobile is effectively T-mobile. They work in much the same manner as Virgin do on T-Mobile, as a Mobile Network Virtual Provider. Avoiding the costs of maintaining the masts and the network means they can offer super-cheap calls. Much like the people who do offers on land-line calls.
This can be ok in practise, but if something goes wrong with T-Mobile's network, then Virgin and easymobile customers also suffer. There can be communication problems between the Network Operator and the MNVO, which can be about anything from planned maintenance to actual coverage sites, and the MNVO's customer services dept. not knowing anything about it.
But hey, we all do the same thing with our broadband anyway, and we get along. easymobile does seem a bit low budget though; they could at least offer one or two bottom end handsets - a nokia 1100 can be picked up real cheap in bulk, and would improve their offering.
Yes we do use T-Mobiles network but we are a different and separate company to them.
My T-Mobile coverage is awful at home, so this is another one I'll have to miss out on. Anyway, I'm 100% happy with Orange.
TBH, i don't think that is anything special. I think O2 Online P&G is just as good if not better with all the free texts and mins you get. It would work out more expesive than my contract would too.Originally Posted by Shad
There was a good advert for easyMobile in today's paper. Apparently Orange aren't happy about eM using orange as their colour scheme too, so easyMobile put out a full page advert for a caption competition to win an easyCruise, the picture was of the Orange sponsored catamaran floating upsidedown![]()
The caption competition is meant as light humour as no one sustained any serious injuries and we started it as a follow up to Oranges court case regarding our use of the colour orange
Well done for mr (or miss) stating the bleeding obvious..

I know why you are doing it, but it doesn't address my points in my post. Orange as far as I'm concerned are the kings of mobile phone networks for customer support and general service quality. What do easyMobile have? Rented space off T-Mobile and cheap tariffs? There's more to a network than that.Originally Posted by easy support
Er not really, they've been ripping me off for 2 years, sent me a new phone when I didn't ask for one, forcing me to give them mine and thus losing all my contacts and yesterday I had to stand for 30 minutes while the only member of staff in the Orange shop gave a talk to the new staff about helping customers. But then again I respect my social standing enough to never use easyMobile. Back to the OT please.Originally Posted by Caged
Yeah anyway, as Norky said, back to the main discussion. What do easyMobile offer that I can't get anywhere else?Originally Posted by Caged
