What Phone do you have currently and what do you mainly use it for?

Can you live without google apps? would be my first question.

It may not seem like a big deal, but do you have your photos auto saving to the google photos app?

Reading reviews It's a very nice phone with a great camera but if you are in the google eco system then it's not the phone you want.

Also if you're good with "tinkering" with phones then you can get Google servives on the phone, but there's no guarantee that it will continue to work and updates may break it etc. Personally the phone costs too much & I'm too heavily invest in Google & apps in the Play Store to take this risk. Also the resale value of the phone is severely compromised by the lack of Google services.

If you like piece of mind, p30 pro new edition. Google on p40 Pro doesn't work as good as pre installed, sometimes needs tweeking /killing / relaunching.

Yes, stay away from the P40 Pro if you don't like tinkering with your phone all the time. Great hardware and who knows, the USA might allow them again in 2021.
