Phones to consider in the £200-300 bracket?

In the market for replacing a Pixel 3a - it's been dropped and shattered the screen, and the cost of the repair is not really economical (£115), given the value is £150 at best. As such looking to see what I should be considering.

    Priorities are:

    Excellent camera
Pure android (or pixel-esque) experience with 2 years of updates
    Preferably small
Decent screen (preferably OLED 1080p screen, 60Hz is fine)

I don't game, just need it to do the basics well. The obvious one is the Pixel 4a, but is there anything else I should be considering?

Secondhand Mate 20 Pro's are excellent value and unlike other Huawei's still have the full Play Store etc or maybe one of the oneplus phones

I've had a pixel 3a for a couple of years and it's the least dissatisfied I've been with any phone since my 3210.

I've been using a Samsung Galaxy A20e for the past couple of month and can't complain too much... it's around £120 (so below your price range!). It can handle Pokemon GO!

Secured a very well looked after Samsung S10e. Not had a Samsung since the S7, so it'll be interesting to compare it to my Pixel 3a.

I'm completely the opposite, I don't like the modern trend for tall skinny phones. I'm reluctant to give up Huawei Mate 10 with it's 16:9 display, I think it's still just about keeping up with modern specs
