No Caller ID or Missed Call Details On 6600.

    Alright all,

My Nokia 6600 will not display the name of the person calling, even when they are saved in my contacts, no matter what I do. Its annoying not knowing who's calling.

Secondly, if I miss a call, again, it displays no details of the missed call, simply saying 'no number' called at... and then the date and time.

Any idea why this is? My Dad has a £30 basic mobile phone which does both of these, my Nokia 6600 'smart' phone seems incapable of doing either.

Im trying to remember where in this the 6600 settings are, you may need to call your provider, if its on Orange, its free and they are excellent at resolving issues like this...

I, too, am having a problem with Caller ID on my Nokia 6600. After reading your post, it seems I am not alone.

If I start with an empty contact list and add one contact manually, caller ID will show the name and associated thumbnail. However, if I import my address book from Microsoft Outlook into my phone using Nokia PC Suite, none of the names and thumbnails appear when a contact calls -- only the number.

I have stood on my head trying to figure this out. I've reformatted the phone numbers, tried erasing and manually entering the contact with no luck. Also, there are no duplicate entries for the same number.

If I didn't have to enter over 500 contacts by hand, I wouldn't worry about this.

Your thoughts would be appreciated if you've found a solution apart from getting anothing phone.

    Regards,
