They both have 2mpix cameras
Both play mp3
Look roughly the same size
What are the differences?!!!
Can't figure it out... got upgrade coming up soon, can't decide whether to wait a short while for the k750 or later on for the w800!

the k750i and the w800 are the same phone, but the k750 is aimed more at people wanting a 2mp camera with the added bonus of mp3 playback(it comes with a 64mb duo card) while the w800 is been sold as a walkman as it's got extra music buttons and will come with a 512mb duo card) other than that they are the same.
From what I know so far, they are virtually identical, just that one is aimed at Digital Camera fans and the other at Walkman fan's. Hence the k750i is a sleak black gun metal design and the W800i is more like a MP3 player with all the Walkman branding. However, it seem's that originally the W800i was going to have an internal 4 gig harddrive. For some reason Sony have ditched this and it's now just essentially the same as the K750i. Although I read somewhere the W800i will have a Walkman Only function so you can turn the phone bit off and have a dedicated music player. Not sure how true this is mind.
Personally I am going for the K750i this week, I much prefer the desgin (not that the W800i is not very sexy for a phone) so I will do a mini-review.
Here is an awesome review for the K750i http://www.mobile-review.com/review/...-k750-en.shtml
MP3 player vs Digital Camera
Which appeals to you more.
dunno why you'd wanna turn off your phone... i never turn mine off! I like the design of both, but my upgrade is due at the end of the month so looks like the 750 for me 512mb memory stick shouldn't be too pricey anyhoo

I think you will find the Sony (or compatable) Memory Sticks are usually higher priced than other formats. However, they do go up to pretty high capasities. I have been looking into this a bit and it seems the Sandisk ones are the best to buy. Faster and cheaper than official Sony ones, but that aint no suprise really.Originally Posted by Gipo
Just downloaded the K750i's manual from Sony's website to try and cut through the hype and see what this phone can really do. It's looking damn fine indeed. At last a phone with an MP3 player that has proper onboard playlist management. My 6230 used to drive me insane in that respect. Not even Sony's portable HD players have that. Might have to get myself a 2gig Memory stick too. The radio also has RDS too. Sweet
Thats an extremly good point, I never thought of thatOriginally Posted by mt50
It also saves on battery life. I wouldn't be surprised if the battery life in flight mode is at least 50% better.
Out on O2 and O2 online on wednesday (2 days from now). They have told me i can have a free upgrade to a k750i
I was just looking where i could buy it, certainly cheaper from mobileshop than o2. Have they said they will have it in during this week to have shipped out for thursday? as it says pre-order on their site (assuming they are www.mobileshop.co.uk).
