    Taking my phone to america

    Hi guys,

I'm going to america this september for eight months so I'll need a phone over there. I've had a look at the price of pay as you go (as I don't want a contract phone as a lot of good contracts seem to be two years!) over there and it seems cheaper to buy something here and take it over. I know that it has to be a triband phone, but is there anything else I would have to do? I suppose it would have to be unlocked but I've no idea how to go about doing that and are there any phones that are easier to unlock that other?

    Cheers,

is you are going to buy the phone over here and sim overe there, then best thing do is buy a cheap tri band nokia, as they are the best to unlock(you can do it yourself)
    or buy one sim free.

EDIT, infact you can get a cheap basic payasugo phone over in the usa for $40-
