    which smartphone?

I'mn currently looking at the O2 XDA IIs, which looks pretty damn sexy - but am a little concerned about the key sizes (I have large hands)
Who else has one, and can comment on what they're like to use every day?
Was thinking about maybe getting it on contract - putting that contract sim in my 6230 and getting a data only sim card for the xda to handle all main/browsing functions.
Also - does it support upgrade to windows mobile 5.0?

I've never used one, so I can't really comment on the keys.

However, I can say that at the moment no operator or connected-device manufacturer has committed to offering an upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0 and quite a few have said that there is no chance that they will offer one (imate, Orange).

The first PDA-style device to offer Windows Mobile 5.0 is likely to be the HTC Universal in the second half of this year.

...which I am waiting for with bated breath. The keypad on the XDAIIs might be a bit fiddly for someone with large hands, although it's not as bad as it looks; all the keys are stippled to make them easier to engage.

Personally id say get an XDA Mini/Mda Compact, i have one, its small enough to carry all the time, works well as a phone, no slide out keypad, but the handwriting recognition is very good, and you can have a giant onscreen number pad to do ordinary predictive text on (buttons ~size of those on a big button house phone). To be honest, getting an MDA 2 at this point is daft, theyre very near the end of their lifecycle. Either wait for the universal, or get a magician.

Note, magician has no WiFi, so if thats important to you, then ignore me
