    Pay monthly credit card question

I've never had a pay monthly contract before...

I'm going to get one of those deals with cashback and a free phone on O2.

You need both a credit card and a valid bank account to set up the contract. The thing is I don't have a credit card, only a debit card, and they won't accept it. If i use my parents credit card and my bank details, what will be charged on their card, i presume the line rental and call costs will come from the bank account.

Also, what happens if you are in credit at the end of an O2 contract, can u get a cheque for the amount owed?

    Thanks, Glen

IIRC I think the credit card and the back account has to match.

I'm getting one off dialaphone... I have a solo which they don't accept.

Just applied for an egg card and got rejected, prob because I don't have a job.

I just want to check though... if its a free phone they don't actually charge the credit card for anything.

What you could do is put the initial charge and first direct debit payment on the parents card and then swap the direct debit to your own card.

From then on all monthly payments will be taken from your phone
