Another vote for the N70
Another vote for the N70
Maybe a great bit of kit tech wise, but does anyone agree the N70 looks horrible?
All the w800 is is a k750 with a bigger internal mem and more stick, theres nothing you can do on it thats not on the k750 now, at least i dont think so, feel free to correct me if im wrong.Originally Posted by niksta
Yea I think it looks fairly fugly too - but I always go for capabilities and technology than asthetic values anyday (hence the C500 - not the superbabe of phones but omg its like a minature laptop). My next phone will probably be a PDA-style one, perhaps that new Samsung Windows Mobile one they are developing, so I can use it like a handset on Skype in WiFi enabled areas (including home, my workplace and college )Originally Posted by dangerous_dom
Knowing the powers of what Windows Mobile phones behold, I will probably never touch a Nokia again, despite them having many good phones lately.
Also the N series with the large storage facilities wouldn't really be justifiable in my position - I already have a 20gb iPod, so the phones harddrive will only be used to store mass amounts of lady images and DivX clips... IF it can play DivX (like the C500 can )
All of Nokia's smartphones, from the N-Gage up to the N91, can play DivX (along with XVid, MPEG4, Real Media, etc).IF it can play DivX
I've got the K750i at the moment, won't be upgrading for another 11 months!
P1000 sounds nice if its not a 'brick'
My contract isn't up till May so hopefully there will be some really good stuff out by then.
N91 looks good at this point though.

Gotta change my mind from the M500 now to the new Nokia 8800, it looks amazing
The unversal looks sweet. My next one will have the latest windows mobile, hopefully!
Not around too often!
That universal thing is looking interesting. They need to hurry that up so i can sample it before i mke a decision on a new phone. Other than that the Nokia N91 and the XDA's are looking good. That C500 thing looks interesting functionality wise but i have pooped out better looking things.....
Nokia 8800 looks nice but it doesnt do very much, W800 nice phone, flight mode is going to be useful for people that travel alot and i havent seen another phone on the market that can boast 512MB storage out of the box!
Sony are lookinh very serious about the way they are going to launch it on 12th this month. They arent even letting any mobile operators have any special customised versions lol (something about only branding it under sonys walkman name), i guess they are hoping most people wont realise its pretty much identical to the k750i.
Nemz.
It's gotta be the Nokia 8800 for me. Won't bother with it till the prices come down considerably though. The firmware should also be matured by then.
Im going for the Nokia N91 I had one for a while, but sold it. Gonna get another one when i go to the US of A.
Tak - i was looking at the 8800, but it just doesn't have any features that set it apart except the looks. If they did that phone with half decent features i would love it

Yeah I've changed my mind the 8800 after reading the review on the main site. It's missing a volume control button and the battery life is abysmal
"All of Nokia's smartphones, from the N-Gage up to the N91, can play DivX (along with XVid, MPEG4, Real Media, etc)."
The newer Nokia smartphones (6680 , 81 , 82) 6630 i persume as well, and the upcoming N series all do a brilliant job of playing Xvid and Divx. I'm finally able to uncheck the reduce frames option in smartmovie converter now
220mhz of processing power really does come in handy.
The N90, having the biggest S60 screen to date, has my attention but I've been put off recently by the potentially high price tag, short battery life claims, and the fact that there'll be another range of Series 60 marvels from Nokia by time my Vodafone contract expires next July
I wish the 6600 would play DivX... it does play real video reasonably well however.
Just bought a 2650 for a relative... not a bad simple to use phone...
Video? on a 6600? Thats insane, theyre tiny, how would you see it?Originally Posted by mort-uk
