Decent little app allows playback of Divx and Xvid videos produced precisely with Virtual Dub or the converter

Easily, in fullscreen videos on a 2 inch screen are surprisingly watchable if converted properly.Originally Posted by herulach
I'm waiting on the next Sony Ericcson smart phone (Pnnn series).
I've had a Nokia 6600 and currently have a SE P800 and love the flexibility of the Symbian OS. Would dearly love a more up to date one, but nothing has caught my attention and the Nokia models are missing a touchscreen.
SE are romoured to be announcing a new P1000? model in Sept which will have more memory, the latest Symbian UIQ a killer screen and possibly built in WiFi and GPS receiver. If even half of this is true it will be a killer phone IMHO.

Indeed .. i've a couple of pop vids on a memory card at home.. but would like to experiment with longer filesOriginally Posted by MurphmanL

So much depends on a trade-off between appearance and the features you get for your money. At the moment I'm thinking that the K750i (D750i on T-Mobile) or its almost identical W800i are the right phones to buy.
Count me in on the N70 it is a sleak unit.

I'm shooting for an N90 at the moment, despite it's costs being way out of a 17 year olds price range (like anyone's going to shell out £500 or so for a phone for me) I'm probably going to save up for one or wait a few months until the price goes down.
But I've wanted the phone ever since I first saw pictures of the phone a couple of months ago, the fact that it's a smart phone, can play MP3's and has a 2mp camera effectively kills off three birds with one stone.
Probably siemens M75 it has a decent camera and a MP3 player (RC-MMC cards)
lol that siemens is ugly as fark.
If they decide to make a GSM/GPRS version of the Samsung i730 that's currently available on Verizon Wireless, I just might get that. It almost tempted me to return to the Dark Side, but then I regained my sensibility.
I'm pretty sure the W800 will have a 'walkman only' mode. Meaning you can turn the phone completely off and it operates as a standalone walkman. Great for airplanes and hospitals. Other than that, it's identical apart from the larger memory stick thats bundled with it (which K750i owner can of course upgrade anyway). I am also informed that it comes with an adaptor so you can use 3.5mm headphones with it, rather than being forced to use the Sony ones (although adators are already on the market for the K750i).Originally Posted by herulach
I don't know why Sony have delayed the W800 for so long, I'm guess so it can go head-to-head with the Nokia N*. But buy then then many other good models will be out.

MPx220, debug .net apps over bluetooth anyone?
I've had symbian 60, i'm registered (i got a free t-shirt) and i've written about 2 apps in almost 3 years of been on an s60 platform phone. Icky.
I really want pocket soduko, but paying for such things is against my morals (as is stealing said game!)
Well I found the 6600 way behind the p800 in useability even tho it was later and my moto a1000 is actually a worse presentation of the symbian platform but I am stuck with it cos of the cheap three minutes - I got it for the GPS but the reception is too patchy and recently the battery life has gone down to 1 day from the original 2, a problem the p800 never had. I also got my wife the k750i, the camera is 'off the hook'. I might get the K600i/derivative for a short term 3g solution with a decent battery life but am on the lookout for the se p1000 - to date Nokia have been behind the curve on cutting edge handsets but it looks like the n-series may change that
The MPX220 has been canned IIRC.Originally Posted by TheAnimus

The next mobile I get will be the Samsung D500. This nokia 6600 Is a brick!
