Fair to good, If im using it heavily then ill maybe have it down to about 40% in a day, with light use it last around 3 days, obviously it depends what youre doing and how high you have the backlight. With the light right up its atrocious, will need charging every night, but, you dont need the light up to see it i have mine on the bottom setting all the time unless im using it as a torch.

Very good, id say ~99% accurate, and what it isnt accurate with it can usually grab from the alternates list (which is easy to get up, double tap the word, stroke down then up). It does need 'teaching' (telling what letter shapes you use) though, whihc takes maybe 15 mins, worth it IMO.

Also it has 2 methods of palm like only write in a certain region. One you need to write in the graffiti alphabet, which is pretty easy once youre used to it (this is what i use for texting on the bus). And one where you write normally but 1 letter at a time, which is completely pointless basically.

I dont use them hugely, so i cant really say, but it stores everything well enough, theres plenty of options for meetings, including sending email reminders out to attendees and things, which would be better if they could make it send sms, but there you are.

I have a GB in mine, which is all youd need i think, but i think it will take up to 2.

I would also add that you really need to invest in something like SPB pocket plus, because being windows mobile the close button infact is a hide button, which is the main thing it fixes, but you also get a pretty cool today screen plugin, and an instantly visible battery meter (across top of screen about 3 or 4 pixels wide)

Its also pretty robust, mines been dropped a couple of times with no scratches, i walked into the corner of a desk bashing the screen on it and its fine, and ive even spilt a pint of water over it with no ill effects.
Thanks for the info. It sounds fairly similar to the p900. Just not sure if I'm better off with something so similar or if I should get something with a totally different form factor like the SDA or a K750i...

But you have to remember that the SDA/MDA are the same phones, theyre all made by HTC, just branded differently.

    @Beenster
Ive use a p900, the big sony thing yeah? ANd its an entirely different class of phone, mainly thanks to the screen which is phenomenally clear.

I reckon I need to get to a TMobile store and have a play.

The only problem is the data rates with TMobile - they are outrageous!

That is true, unless you wanna pay 50 a month. Also bear in mind orange do it (M550 i think, its balck hexus reviewed it a bit ago) and o2 are releasing it as the xda mini sometime in the future, though god knows when. ANd if you want to wait a little bit longer, theres the wizard, which is pretty much the same, but with a slide out keypad.

Looks a bit awkward to me, and the screen is really wasted if you have it on its side, but different strokes i guess.

If you looking for a smartphone that doesn't have a touchscreen, then you really can't go wrong with the Nokia 6680. It's certainly the most advanced smartphone on the market today.

It's got all of the things you would expect from an modern non-smartphone - 3G, very good camera (with flash and lens cover), solid build quality, hot swappable memory, great call quality, loud ringer, exceptional RF, easy to use UI and a sensible keypad.

But it also has smartphone functionality too. There's lots and lots of software for Series 60 and it has all of the usual apps, including DivX and ogg players always as games, web-browsers, IM clients and more. Nokia PC Suite has taken a lot of stick in the past, but it is improving steadily. It won't sync with MS Outlook as well as a Microsoft Pocket PC, but it does do all of the basic stuff without hitch. It also beats Pocket PC syncing in some areas, for example by being able to sync text messages and even send them from your PC. It's a more phone-centric system.

The one weakness is it's mail client. It's bareable if for a home POP3 account, but for business use I wouldn't recommend it. However, being a smartphone, there's always an alternative and Profimail for Series 60 is superb. I've yet to find a better smartphone mail client. Being a 3G phone, mail downloads will obviously be much quicker (and in some cases cheaper too).

ive just bought a k750i and ive gotta say it is a truly awsome phone. the camera although youve not mentioned it as a requirement is such great quality. and i so glad that the screen is nothing like the t610 (the phone it replaced) which you cant see anything when the screen is in sunlight. the games you can get for it are also pretty good.
interesting to see the first person having sync problems, ive not had any problems with it, try giving floats mobile agent a try. i found that to work extremly well when i had problems with my t610
