    Old school O2/Genie contract

I have an old genie contract which I've had for 5 years ish, technical name is:

    Genie SIM Off Peak 600

    Which gives me:
    Unlimited free wap
50 Free minutes a day off peak to land lines and o2
    600 free texts

    For £10/month.

Which is very nice (or bad depending on how you look at it...)as it means I can call the gf for free each night and send as many texts as I want plus check the news and train times on wap for as long as I want.

However its not fantastic due to the following:
-Can't use gprs so can't send pictures as the sim is so old
-I get raped on calls during the day (50p/min roughly)
-I get raped on calls to other networks (50p/min roughly)

I usually end up in the £20-£30/month bracket after calls to other people.

    My options are:
-Keep the same contract as its good value as longs as I don't phone anyone else
-Ask for a new sim so I can use gprs and send pictures and use decent wap (problem the arises - does my 600 free texts include any pictures messages..)
-Tell o2 I have been offered a better deal (which is pretty impossible)
and ask them for a better deal

If I asked for a better deal what would o2 be likely to offer me?
-Ideally I'd like 500 to 1000mins/month to any network any time
-300 free texts as 600 is too many so maybe I could swap free texts for free mins.

I have no experience phoning up o2 so would anyone like to offer any ideas on what I should do?

I think picture messages count as either two or three normal text messages. So if you plan on sending a fair few you may want to stick with 600 free a month. Maybe just tell them what you want and that you might have to go elsewhere to get it and see if they change your current contract and sim for the same price.
