Just wondered what everyone thought about this phone?
Any ideas when it'll be out on Orange?
Cheers

This is the best info. I can find:
http://www.directmobilephones.com/nokia_n90.htm
O2 and Vodafone seem to have dibs on this model, but there is an option on the webpage for Orange - may be availible within the next few weeks perhaps?
Does anyone think its worth £200 they are asking for with my contract?
nope, not when vodafone offered me a 8800 for £150 on a £30 pm tarriff yesterday.....
the N series are stupidly expensive for what they are, if anything, if you look at the handsets coming out now they are all going over the £300 sim free price, it could potentially put the networks on pay for phone systems again, which can only hurt the networks.
matt.
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
no lense cover and no vibrate mode (cmon! thats standard these days surely??) = no purchase from me![]()
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
It's the highest spec PDA-phone on the market by a long, long way.
Highlights:
- Brilliant 352x416 pixel screen (by comparison, the O2 XDA IIs has a 240x320 pixel screen and it's a big PDA!)
- "VHS quality" video recording. You can easily playback the videos at full screen on a TV without being able to tell the source is a mobile phone!
- The only smartphone on the European market with a 2MP camera
- One of the few 3G smartphones on the European market
- Symbian smartphone OS, so lots of software available for it
However, this does come at a price. As mentioned above, there's no vibrate mode and it isn't the smallest of phones.
£200 on a new contract is an insane price too.
We had a nokia rep come in my store last week with an N90 and i have to say i was impressed, although its not as small as i was hoping. The screen and camera are just tromendous!Originally Posted by darrensen
As for no vibrate, i didnt even know that abit of a let down on an otherwise excellent handset.
£200 is steep for any phone as far as im concerned, depends how much money you have to spare...
I think i'd have to give this phone a miss then. What else would you chaps recommend? I would like the same or near enough the same features as the N90.
Here is an excellent and very in-depth review of the N90;

And here is a review of the camara capabilities;

TBH, I'm not that overly impressed with the N90 (based on the above review anyway). The camera is no better than the Sony K750i/W800i and it's a very large phone. This is probably a phone i will be giving a miss.
