This is not in my activesync ver. 4.0...???why and where is the option now?

Where did you getthe screenies from then? try using an older version maybe? And if an xda2 isnt a smartphone what is it?

Don't know if you have found the answer already but here goes anyway...

From what I have found ActiveSync allows pass-through connections automatically and there is no check box. There was the check box in version 3.7 and 3.8 where the screenshots are presumably from.

I searched for a while for the checkbox and never found one but then I loaded a page in the phone and noticed ActiveSync making an internet connection in my firewall.

You may need to delete then re-create the Activesync profile for your device.
