The battery is pretty good now you mention it ... well compared to the old k700i i had as apposed to being compared to the K750i which i have not tried first hand ...
Battery only lasts longer in Music Only mode (no phone functionality).
How about branding/lock? I am thinking of getting either from Onestopphoneshop (after eagerly waiting for the w900i, I am turned off by comments I've read around).Quote:

On paper, I can't fault the k750i:
1) Physically, I prefer the 750i.
2) I couldn't care less about the headphone included with the w800i. I would be using my own anyway.
3) Are you sure that the 750i is capable of SD mem? And is the 800i *not* capable of SD mem? If that is the case, its another for the 750i.
That mean the only the only real advantage of the w800i the larger memory stick (I welcome this). But it doesn't really compensate the negative.
On the other hand, if the 800i is unbranded and unlocked and the 750i not, then it is a big plus for the 800i IMO, and I willing to overlook the advantages for the 750i.
It does not have SD memory, I think the OP was mistaking the two sizes of memory duo cards as the k750i comes with an adaptor to work with card readers.Quote:

Ah well. My w800i just arrived. I ordered from Carphonewarehouse because just about every other places stopped doing 9 months half price rental (changed to 7). I hope that they are alright. They are certainly quick with the deliveries: I ordered yesterday at 4:45pm and it arrived this morning at 9:20am
Dam, thats quick delivery, congrats.
I orderd my K750I yesterday from Phones4u, about 12:00pm, free shipping, only place in stock with a decentish price.
Got me K750i, i don't have a clue what im doing though.
How the hell do i set up allowing messages, and pics, and everything????
How the hell do i find out my own number?
Smokey21 go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?...0242&pid=10242 and click on the 3 links on that page and follow the instructions it gives you to set up WAP, MMS and email on the phone ... assuming that is what u meant by your first question.
As for finding your own number ... was it not with the paperwork with your sim card?
If not ring your own house number and 1471 yourself ;) :D
Andy
Yeah thanks for the link, but it didn't work, i did the one for SMS, and i got no SMS off sony. I enterned +44 then my no.
I have no idea what to do for the other one's, what are all the options, and my email etc? is that my email on my PC totally lost here.
Well i have no idea, if that stuff worked, but i went through it, i never got a message.
My balance is now 21quid, i put 10quid in.
Gonna take some getting used to, hehe so many things. How do you keep MP3's playing, whilst using the phone? Also is there a way i can get all my contacts onto the new phone?
For your number, try Settings -> Phone Status. Its written next to 'My Mobile'.
I am synchronising my contact via my Windows Address book on my W800i.
I have a question regarding the W800i though. I am now in the process of adding some 400 odds MB worth of music onto my W800i. When I connect the phone to my PC, it creates a new drive 'N' (yea, all the letters prior that are taken) for the memory stick. I can drag and drop files there. The odd thing is, sometime I copy a whole bunch of files, but when I unplug the phone off my PC, only a few files are copied. I wasted a lot of time the first time round because I had added some 400MB worth of files only to find that ~70MB were copied. It was annoying since I rip all my CDs to FLAC and I need to transcode the files to MP3 first. And I since I don't need to copy of the music on my HD, I cut them to my phone (losing the copy). So I had to redo the whole process again *sigh.
The other odd thing is, I can't copy MP3s directly to the memory stick using my memory card reader. It gives me an CRC (Or what I think is a CRC) error. If I try it with small text files, it works, but MP3 is a no no. Confusing. On the plus side, the phone does play music pretty well.
I was panicking a bit, found the number, doh.
Also the extra memory stick is wierd, it's got somet attached to it, and its bigger than the stock 64mb one, or is it not a stick at all?? bit onfused with it.
Getting used to the phone a bit more, it's real nice, heh a million times better than me old one.
One thing though is, can this phone play MP3's while doing other stuff, or not? cause at the mo, when i exit the media player section, it stops.
