There is not a way to remote unlock like nokias.
You'll need to find someone with the correct software and cable to do it for you.
Perhaps take it down to your local mobile phone emporium. The place I have been to in Wimbledon unlock phones for ~£8 and do decently priced repairs too.
Not around too often!
There are ways of doing this for free too. Have a google.Originally Posted by jimborae

Ok:
I have a load of old nokias and so i decided to try to get the codes, i got these for my 3100
IMEI: 353758001178322
NETWORK: 23415
PHONE TYPE: 2
BOX: 34144
CODES:
#pw+900392246137735+1#
#pw+073133510465070+2#
#pw+822261462306101+3#
#pw+391606233230241+4#
#pw+835101674665044+5#
#pw+829831662052775+6#
#pw+884821225532165+7#
Problem is that there are 7 codes but apparently if i enter the wrong one 5 times then the phone can only be unlocked with a cable.
Is this true? If i do it and that does happen can i still use my phone with the original sim (i tryed the first code but it did not work.
Also, how do i tell what "GEN" my phone is?

Usually the last one works.....Originally Posted by nvening
and to unlock Sony Erricson phones you need to press this combination of keys
1) < * * <
2) then select network
3) then type in 8 digit code
That's all I know. The code generators I got off the internet didn't work so perhaps ringing the network provider the phone is from, may give them you...
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
no the last one either

If you use the wrong code enough times (usually 3 or 5 times) your phone will lock. That means you can't use it. At all. Not with any SIM, regardless of network.
All you can do after that is to get someone with a data cable to unlock it.
Are you sure, i have tried a few phones (nokias) and found that if the wrong code is put in all it does it lock you out from entering any more codes, still works with the orginal SIM/network fine. Works 9 times out of 10 though anyway.Originally Posted by hoodmeister
Well, I only talk from experience...
I have two totally barred Nokias and an SE here... Both the result of entering the wrong codes.
Perhaps different models react differently?
