SE W800i - ability to play mp4

Hi,

ive had a SE W800i for a couple of months now, and i really want to get some mp4 videos on there for the long train journeys in the morning. Ive tried with ImTOO 3GP video converter to shrink some films down but i can only get the audio when it plays on my phone. What bit rate should i be using for both audio and video and what should the video size be set to.

you may try yasa video converter to convert video files to 3gp video. I have successfully converted avi to my nokia mobile with its default setting.

the reason ur proberly only getting sound is due to the res being too high

anything higher than 176x144 and as far as im aware u'll just get sound

also as far as i know u'll need to convert them @ 25 fps and 104kbps

personally i use xilisoft 3gp converter it seems to do the job

You probably already have the best program for this on your PC but have just not realised it yet - NERO digital. It's not the easiest, but has the best results. I will post a link to a good guide when i get home, but look on www.howardforums.com for guides and links.

EDIT: dangerous_dom - if you can post a guide i would be really greatful - i had a look a Nero Digital but would rather wait for a guide before givin it a crack

Thanks. I've been looking for a decent guide on getting videos onto my phone for ages.
