worth asking in a proper Orange shop about line rental credit.

I was signing up for a contract once and they suddenly told me they take any old phone you have and give you £100 credit on your contract for it. Took an old 3210 with a cracked screen and they were fine about it

I also did the Orange Family contract with my gf which basically means we get one bill sent to us but you get 50% more minutes each for free as you're reducing their admin costs

If your calling one person in particular a lot, you can look at a talkshare, that way you get to call them for free! A lot of the best deals are only available via the small buisness team, but just talk to them anyway, as I found with orange they didn't care! A fair useage policy applies, but normally their very good about it.

A vodafone stop the clock contract is also a very good way to save money. I spend about 3,000 min a month at the moment via this when i'm out of town. (yes 50 hours, and yes, i use a handsfree kit with wires). Not bad for £25 a month considering its a different network.

I'd never buy a phone off contract, to me its just a tax on them who can't do math, but then i do have a technology fettish. Someone was doing the SP5 on an offpeak 600 plan for £15 a month, with a £30 handset signup fee. For a £300+ handset thats an absolute steal its quite simply a stonking good phone (built in wifi!)

Any chance you could linky me, if you can remember anything about it? I can't find it.
