Smile I have used both and N70 is my phone of choice

    Hi

I have used w800i and the N70. I really like the N70 (especially a gsm one ) it has more features.

I prefer the n70 because its a lot more robust and better software.

see, i think the n70 is a lot more fragile (easy to scratch) because out of the three n70's ive played with, 2 have been scratched/dinted/broken camera cover.

the SE feels as robust as the 6230, and mine, was launched at countless walls. and just works.

i feel with a £110 k750i, ive grabbed a bargain. and i know ill be happy. just gotta flash the buygger to a w800i as soon as it arrives.

I did what you did, the w800i firmware can be tempremental but enjoy your new phone. Bear in Mind you will not be able to update the firmware from the SE site after you have done that

My wifes got the w800i and i've got the k750i. I prefer the kyboard on my phone but the firmware on the w800i is better once you've flashed to the latest version. The phone has an aircraft friendly mode (just the media player starts up). The supplied headphones are quite good for ones provided with a phone. The camera is very nice and good enough for casual photos, they print at 6 x 4 nicely. Even the phone calls are clear and signal strength very good.

The K750 camera will also give good results when printed at 7x5 if you go somewhere with decent output machines (i.e. jessops, not anywhere that use those horrible Kodak machines)

I updated my k750i firmware the other day with Sony's latest updater software. Not only did it sort out some really annoying little glitchs and speed the responsiveness of the menu's etc, it's also dramitically increased the quality of the camera, especially at night time which is much less grainy now. I did not realise that had been improved in latter firmware, i am well pleased

i'm loving my n70, there's an issue with the speaker if you grab the phone by the screen - other than that - the images are great, and the videos are pretty impressive:

i got the k750i from ebay, the first one was £105 + £6 del, though it was broken beyond my repair (repairable for ~£20 needed a new keypad membrane and flex cable, which i bought in, but decided i shouldnt have to fix it) so sent it back.

then bought another for £110+5 del

    all from ebay
