What PDA for Tomtom + Divx

    Hi All,
I'm sick of getting lost all the time, so I want to get a Tom Tom compliant PDA. As I also use the train a lot it'd be great it I could watch DivX movies and maybe play some emulator games on it too.

It'd also be good if it could talk wifi to my home network.

    Can someone recommend me one?

    Cheers...

    Tom

I have an Axim x51v, and it's absolutely splendid. I encode my divx videos using PocketDivXEncoder, and the files are generally shrunk down to 3/5 their size (ish), whilst retaining most, if not all of the quality in the original video.

It's a cracking device that does everything that I want it to do - video playback, wifi, bluetooth, calendar, word, excel, games, etc. But... I think there are issues with WM5 and TomTom. I don't use it myself, but I've read a few things on www.aximsite.com, namely:

    http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...ht=tomtom+x51v

But I think you can still get the x50v, that comes with WM2003. It's pretty much the same model, but a different OS and little different in the memory, if I remember correctly.

Have you considered a PDA/phone? I've got an O2 XDA Mini S and its excellent. Use it as phone / mp3 player / divx player and tomtom in the car. Plus it has a small slide out keyboard so I can catch up with emails on the train to work.

Problem is, I don't really want to mix a phone with a PDA. I don't really like blackberrys for the same reason. I don't want to be emailable all the time and stuff :-)

    Cheers...
