    Which Mobile/PDA/Pocket PC??

My mate just got an O2 XDA mini, and i really like the fact that its got all the features of windows and wifi and satnav and all that mallarky, as i was interested in getting a satnav and the new k800 (when it was released) but i may as well get an all in one job.

The only thing i didnt like about his XDA was i found it a bit flimsy, and the software took a while to load, and msn crashed when i tried it out, so i think that one might be a no no.

Ive been looking on expansys and they have:

Mio Technology A701 which looked ace.
And the Benq P50, which is quite big, but a brand that i have actually heard of.

Im lost as im not sure what actual people think of them, thats why i want to ask you guys.

Im looking for quite a compact solution so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks.

I'm also thinking about one of these. I have been looking at the new HP hw6915. It looks pretty good and has loads of features inlcuding quad band, gps, wifi, bluetooth etc... It does look a bit bulky though.

Friend of mine has the O2 XDA Exec, doesn't seem too bad but he's had a few problems with it.

I have an XDA IIs, it's OK but has been replaced by the Exec. I like the styling and it does it's job well. I had an XDAII before that and it worked like a dream, so I'd have to say the XDA line seems pretty decent

The O2 XDA's are just are made my i-Mate, I think that T-Mobile and Orange also use them rebadged as something else. So if it's an XDA you're after go for an i-Mate or whatever they're called.

Yeah, my dad's got the Orange MPV version of the XDA IIs so you're not just stuck with O2

Yeah i had a play around with a dummy Exec, but it was quite bulky in my pocket.

I do like the look of the mio A701 as its got built in GPS and is really compact too.

The only thing is it doesnt have a keypad but that doesnt matter.

    Looks nice too:

Ive never heard of the company though, anyone else?

I really like that, gonna google it and see what else I can find out about it.

EDIT: Just found it on www.expansys.com they've got the full spec there. Only thing is that it doesn't have WiFi.

No worries, I was interested in it myself until I found that out. It's got a good spec too apart from that. The iMate JAMin looks quite good too. I'm gonna wait for some reviews on the HP hw6915 too, thats released on 10/04 and is about £460ish. I'm in no hurry to kake a decision, I'll due an upgrade tomorrow, but I'll probably get the best free phone and sell it on eBay and put the money towards something else.

I've never used a PDA properly before but the last 2 places I worked had HP PDA's and that's the make I would always go for. I think the iPAQ's in general are good quality kit, ranging from basic features to doing everything.

That HTC Hermes look great too, I'll have a proper look at it when I've got the money.
