You can get adapters that let you put two sims in one phone, you just switch between them when you start up.
The GSM spec does allow two numbers on the same sim, although i don't think it is used much these days. Admitedly i hvaen't read a phones manual for years, but i did traul through the one that came with my very first phone, it was an Ericsson GA628 (i think that was the number). There was a special icon on the screen that would identify which number call was coming in on.

just googled for "two numbers on one sim" and most people seem to think it isn't possible, but you can do it as long as your operator supports this. T-Molbile apparently don't, no idea if O2, Voda or Orange do or not.

I'm sure my 3 sim card has 2 numbers or something similar. Think it might be used as a video calling one as well as a normal one but i dont really know.

Orange Line 2 lets you have two numbers on one sim. They are separate lines and you can switch between them with the handset.
