Surely this is upon us soon?

Weve been waiting soo long.

On the o2 online website it says that it is July 06, but other people say september.

I go into high street shops and theyve never head of it?

occationally you get high street staff that follow developments like we do, but not often. Otherwise they are like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed sh*t. They basically don't know anything unless there is promotional material to tell them or it appears in their brochures.

O2 have it pre-order. spoke to them last night and you can order now and get it in 2 weeks.

Havent heard anything else yet, not sure whether thats a good or a bad thing mind. I've heard that other people who have ordered them have recieved an email from o2 saying that the phone is currently out of stock, but I never got that. Fingers X'd it'll arrive tomorrow and not during the 2-hour gap when i have to go out.

According to reports at the time, SE reps were saying the W950 was this first in a line of phones based round the same hardware. One was going to have a camera on the front for video calls, the other was going to have dual cameras - the rear one was going to be 2 or 3mp - and memory expansion using either Memory Stick Duo or the other smaller one. I guess it might end up as the W960 or W970 or something. My K750 will do me for a while yet anyway, so i'm prepaired to wait

Sounds like the K800i, with the dual camers and Memory Stick Micro support .
Can you remember where you saw these rumours? Would be interested to look into it.

Though the explanation is as always simple – the company isn’t aiming at creating competition among its own line-ups. Since Sony Ericsson P990i is equipped with a camera, has WiFi onboard and slightly differs in price, taking into account difference in measurements as well, W950i would be an obvious favorite, if it had a camera. And the second reason lies in the fact that in the near future a product with an integrated camera, based on M600/W950i may appear on the market, because there is already a slot for a camera module in the handset’s shell.

i can't find the quote about using the W950 as a basic platform for other higher end models though.
