N80 more applications to run, internet, Hifi, etc...
well after reading the review on thereg earlier i would definately take the K800i as ithas an auto focus in the camera where-as the n80 doesnt, but i do like the fact that the N80 has wifi.. being a person that uses the camera in the phone a lot it would still be the k800i
another thing about the WIFI on the N80 is when would I use it? the only place i go with WIFI access is at home where i have a PC, places like hotels and Mcdonalds have hotspots but i really dont fancy siging up for BT Openworld (or whatever they call it)
I've got an N80, I use the wifi a lot in the home for msn access via agile messenger, i find the 3G very handy with my vodafone live set up. I've got a 2gb mini sd in my N80 atm and its full of music, videos and various snaps ive taken.
The music player is very good, loudspeaker is of good quality, the radio is good if a little poor at picking up reception inside buildings, battery life is rubbish with the supplied battery (going to amend this shortly with my expanded oneon the way).
But the sheer amount of symbian apps available,a nd the fact the camera isnt actually all that bad (takes good videos , best photos ive had so far from a cameraphone, oops except maybe sharp 903 but only by a bit because of the ccd lens).
Tbh its a jack of all trades, now ive seen the N93 i want that, smartphone with optical zoom and a proper carl zeiss camera, that way the best of both worlds is achieved, albeit at a hefty price tag and an aggrivating wait![]()
There are *loads* of free hotspots where you can take advantage of the wifi on the N80:Originally Posted by mart_haj86

The N80 is defintely the more complete phone.

cheers for the link waka, i will certainly havea good browse through that, thanks
What about me?!sure, acknowledge his wifi hotspot map but ignore my plain old fashioned personal experience advice
hehe j/k
To be honest, i find that an N80 with the latest firmware is more than stable enough for me, and meets all my digital lifestyle needs with a 2gb mini sd card (which are fairly cheap these days anyway)
N80 seems to have a greater number of skills mastered than teh K800, where the K800 only really excels as a camera, moreso than the n80 - yet the n80 can record greater resolution video than the K800....
Thanks for the info.
It seems the N80 is the allrounder!! but K800i for photos only..
Cool
sorry Murphman, thanks to you to, although i must admit i am slightly biased to disliking nokia's, I was playing around with my mates Nokia 6280 and the build quality seemed really cheap![]()
I've just recently gotten the N80. Its an awesome phone. Good features, good build quality unlike some previous nokia's... WiFi is a nice touch (saves paying for GPRS when i'm at home), and the camera's quality is really sharp at 3MP, but loses some quality when zoomed in (see my Foos Hyde Park Photos here)
Diablo (Main PC): Corsair Air 540; Gigabyte Z77-D3H; i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz; 16Gb Corsair Vengeance PC3-12000; 120Gb Samsung 840 EVO; EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid; 2x Dell U2414H; Windows 10 x64.
Imperius (VM Server): 2x Intel 5640, 64Gb RAM, 2x1Tb, 6x Intel NIC, VMware ESX 5.5
Tyrael (File Server): Synology DS410 w/ 4x HD154UI; 2Gb RAM; DSM 5.2
I'm in a simular position as well. I want to upgrade from my W800i - but the K800i really doesn't offer much more than an upgraded camera!
N80 offer a lot more, and I really like the fact it has Wifi and a Symbian OS.
Got another month or so to look for something, so just to keep my eyes open!
n80, nicer imo
Most certainly. The only thing the N80 can't do well is cook your breakfast.Originally Posted by Waka
