I agree, I need one too! So handy to have such good quality video recording in a phone, and the 3x optical zoom and tv out really do it for me, the wifi is just a bonus, size does simply not matter! Ive had an exec so can definately stomach this beauty.

Can do better, £485 inc delivery from ebay seller k00lgadgets, reputable bloke, powerseller and his n93's (choice of silver or black) come with a free 512mb card!

Just getting to the point of raising the money and i'll have the black one

Whats going on anyway, has anyone around here got there mittens on one of these yet, or have i gotta be the first to take the plunge? Hoping to have the money for one by Saturday
Gone down in price from £485 now to £455 which is always nice, can use the difference for a 2gb mini sd.
Im still gonna buy from the ebayer k00lgadgets i think, so anyone got anything to say?

I really want one but i cant justify spending that kind of cash on one- it costs more than my car did

I'l get one if the prices drop to something more reasonable. At the end of the day when the novelty wears off your left with som nice toys, like the camera and mp3 (which still not as good as a stand alone gadgets etc) and its a real big phone 180g

Still if prices drop and if you post some tempting pics...

I hope to have one by this time next week provided all goes to plan.
Admittedly the novelty will wear of as it does with all phones.
But the camera has really been praised, take a look at this review here :
    http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/review_n93.php

Thats what i want - the ability to just open my phone and take footage worth keeping!
The fact its a decent games console thanks to the opengl accelerator is a bonus, but im after the tv out more for using it as a PMP using smartmovie or the upcoming core pocket media player
Dont forget the mp3 player in the S60 V3 OS is a hell of a lot better than the previous ones, in terms of functionality, playback quality and file type compatibility making the n93 a good contender for a mp3 player considering u can even change tracks / volume using the keys on the side!
    Ill keep you posted

That device has half my career history in it.

Two years ago, I was working at Power VR (Imagination Technologies) and did some of the work on the MBX graphics core that that phone uses. Now I work for Nokia (though in an unrelated area).

I have not seen the n93 graphics in action, though I did see demos running on the Dell Axim X50 PDA that also uses the same graphics core it. They had hooked the thing up to a data projector running a 640x480, and where playing full resolution DivX videos from the memory card to the TV out. They had also got someone to write a proof of concept game demo similar to Quake II. Both looked impressive.

I must email my old colleges at PowerVR to congratulate them on it. Though if their corporate communications are anything like Nokia's, they will be shouting about it at every opportunity.

I've just been talking to people about it in the Carphone Warehouse - seems they won't be getting stock for two weeks or so, but when they do it's 500 quid sim free.
I'm debating whether to get an N73 or the N93.

Went into the NOKIA store in Oxford and they had them in stock.
New 18 month contract with Vodafone.
    1000 x-net mins + 100txts £37.50 per month for 6 months then £75 (but I can reduce after 6 --- will need to!!).
    £79.99 for the phone.
    Got the black one.
I have to say it is amazing. The quality of construction and materials make it feel much lighter than it is.
So many things just make you smile.
Camera is awesome, screen buttons so useful, looks slick.
Wi-fi blows you away - the web browser is very usable.

    Battery life:
Charged it from new for 2 hours.
Used the phone for 3 hours(texting, wi-fi surfing, gallery, videos rec & play, torch, games) - only 1 minute of calls.
Left the phone on overnight, 10 hours later I still have 5 bars!

I hate big phones - XDA2, P900, SPV m500 had to go after a few months.(Been using an SPV c500 for 2 years)
But this is worth it... so far
The ONLY downside so far is the size; Not carrying it, not using it for video nor browsing BUT when talking!
Just feels unnaturally big when holding it to your ear!

I hope I get used to it coz I love this phone.

    N80 or P990 any better?

    gah! so much choice!

Ready for an upgrade (have been since May) but was waiting to see if there will be a W950 with cameras and memory slot. Also tempted with the W850 as it has cameras and a MemoryStick Duo slot. The P990 also looks *very* slick and now the n93 is sounding tempting. The K800 is pretty slick too, but only takes those tiny new memory sticks.

When i got my K750, there wasn't anything like it around. Upgrading the firmware to the W800 has also given it more life (vastly superior music player). But i want a new phone now.

Don't assume that the battery life bars are linear. On most phones they are not.

Usually you get a logarithmic scale, so that each time you loose a bar, you have half as much juice as the one before.

My phone has a seven segments it it's battery bar, and I found over that it lasted the the whole weekend with seven bars, and then went from six to three in the space of about 12 hours.
