SE k750i or w810i?

i lost my old phone and need to get a new one. i will be buying from virgin online shop, and im interested in these 2, but is the w810i worth the extra £90 over the k750i?

depends what you want, maybe

w810i is esentially the same phone as the k750i, the only difference are a 512mb memory card not a 64 one (512 cost about a tenner, less on ebay) - and it has more music features (instead of a joystick it has buttons, foward, back, etc for navigation and mp3)

so, yeah, cancel out the 512mb memory, say 80 quid difference, depends if you like mp3s and hate the joystick enough really

The w810 also doesn't have a lens cover, which I always thought was ridiculous

hardly any phones do tho, none of my other camers have been damaged without having one, althought the k750i which i have now, is handy as the shooting app loads instantly as the thingy is opened

Same with my w800. You flick the lens cover open, take the photo then close it again and the phone goes back to standby and the keypad locks again.

well, i already have an ipod nano so playing mp3s is a feature i dont need, looks like the k750i may as well be the one to get. what about this EDGE thing, what is it exactly, since the w810i has it and not the k750i?and also, can I check my email (hotmail and aol) through both phones?

i do it via a java app, however im pretty sure using the standard internet browser theres a way to get on webmesseger, or emessegner or the like, not as good as the smartphone version, but it works, just about if you need to talk to someone urgently

The W810 doesn't have a joystick to break. It is a newer phone so has slightly more advanced software. If you are going to be using it for music, it will be *much* better, it even has dedicated music buttons on the front.

I installed the W800 firmware onto my K750 and have never looked back. Much much better. It actually reads the tags in my MP3s and lists by artist/album. The K750 just lists every track in a big list, usually ordered by the time it was added to the card. Thats rubbish if you have a 2gig card full of music.

i love my w810i had the same choice as you and haven't looked back great phone

and as funstar says the 810i mp3 player is much better

My k750i is playing up and the joystick is terrible too, I'd get the w810i everytime

Why don't you wait a couple of weeks for the w850i? Comes with 1gb card so plenty of mp3 space and it looks cool
