I can only guess you would like a K800i and you are looking for a good deal, right?
Without knowing your budget or usage pattern, it's a liitle hard mate.

I've just moved on to an 18 month contract - and I get 125 mins with the stop the clock option, and unlimited texts/mms (fair usage policy applies - but doesnt kick in till about 3000/month) for £25, though that is due to me being a student- the point was, initally I wasn't planning an 18 month contract, but found you got a lot more for your money
These were both with Vodafone, and if you go into the store, you can quite often haggle with em to throw in extra things for free- that's how I got my k800i for free, it should have been £100

Wish I had known about that before I brought my k800i from O2.Originally Posted by dave87

Just saw Carphone Warehouse, £35 a month, 500 minutes 1,000 texts on Voda.
Free bluetooth headset too - advert was instore but is also available here: Carphone Warehouse
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net

I also tried to get a memory stick or bluetooth headset, but alas, as he discounted the phone by £100 he couldnt
The other thing is to go to the shop and tell them what you want, but do NOT buy there and then, say you'll consider it, as you are looking at other plans (even if you are not, they are liable to sweeten the deal). Then when you go back, say what the offer was and that is what you would like, but you have seen x on network y for cheaper - then they can check the offer and may even beat it.
I found that dealing with the people in the shop was much easier than a call centre ever can be, and as a bonus I got a pretty impressive discount. Oh, and it may be worth considering an 18 month contract, (thats what I'm on) as you get the option to upgrade after 16 months, and get the better phones/tarriffs cheaper
Hope this helps a bit,
Dave
PS, dont be afraid to take a friend with you, I find it helps, as they may ask questions you haven't thought of![]()
You broke the golden rule with bargining for anything. Yes, make it clear what you are not prepared to pay when offered an unsuitable deal, But never reveal how much you are prepared to pay at the start. If you know anything about sales techniques, then you will know that is just playing right into thier hands.Originally Posted by dave87
But otherwise you are right - the simplest thing to do is to go to all shops in turn, tell them what you want and ask them if they can do a better deal and thrown in a BT headset etc. Then ask them if they will give you it in writing (sometimes they will decline this but often they will). Then go to another shop, show them what the last shop offered and ask them to beat it. Then take that offer to the next and so on. Even if you dont what to go on a certain network, get offers for the same sort of package on other networks because, for example, Orange will rather give you a silly deal than see you go with another network. Getting deals and quotes from other shops/networks is the only power you have.
The problem is though it really down to luck. You have no way of knowing which shops, networks and sales people have/have not reached thier sales targets.

Do Orange still match any tariff from other providers? they ran an advert a while back saying they did. you don't really get an Orange signal at my flat, which is a shame, as it's the only one you get at work, so never really looked into them.
Yea, except having done my homework, I asked for more than was available on any other network for that price, and got myself a good deal out of itOriginally Posted by autopilot

I don't think they do since they have switched to their animal price packages - dolphin etc.Originally Posted by Funkstar
