    They just built what could be my perfect phone.. the HTC P3300

    She's no looker but look at the specs:

    The handset comes with in-built GPS and TomTom NAVIGATOR 6. You browse the 2D and 3D maps using HTC's RollR (Trackball and Track Wheel) and can expect to either get a "taster pack" with a free download of a city map, or a full "premium pack" version pre-loaded with a complete set of maps for Western Europe.

    The P3300's screen measures 2.8in and has a resolution of 240 x 320. The handset itself measures 108 x 58 x 17mm (HxWxD), but no weight was announced. It's a Quad-band model with GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, a MicroSD slot and a 2.0 Megapixel camera
    ====== (also has FM radio..)

    Now i've been after a GPS-integrated phone about the size of my current Qtek S100 for a while... and this hits the spot nicely. Not sure on the looks but functionality
    wise this really could hit the mark for me.. And yes, it has a trackerball and even a mouse pointer on-screen..

    looks good, but I still wouldn't have it as my phone. PDA maybe, but definately not as my main phone, I thought the k800 was large (and it is, incomparison to the k700/750i) So I can't see myself carrying that around every day. Nice features tho

    I used to have an XDA which was massive - proper PDA sized - these things are really no larger than an average phone - perhaps a couple of cm wider but the same height/depth as your average candy bar. I'm sold on the size as it's the same as my current phone (the Qtek S100) which really doesn't bother me (at all) clipped to my belt - the battery life is excellent and the screen is large enough to use for navigation in a car with the added benefit of having a touch screen.

    I've been waiting for a form factor like with with built in GPS for a while - the other phones out there tend to be a bit larger and (as you say) that's not acceptable.

    Due october - price on expansys is stupid money £434.95 but that's them being silly. I'll get it via contract tho.

    Hope it's as good as the spec list suggests

    Yeah it does I have looked at one's with keyboards but they add to the bulk of it and (TBH) I never really need to do serious typing on it so the stylus/hotkeys are just fine.

    ye. there are alot of different brands that all use the same base model. the ipac/xda ext. i'm going to wait until some of the other brands bring out the same hardware (calling it something different) and this should drive the price down.
