I was going to get it when my contract renewed, however it wasn't out yet
I went for the k800i as a result and have been pretty happy (that and my last 3 phones have all been Sony Ericssons) so I doubt you'll find anything gravely wrong with the p990i
I'm waiting for a text from O2 telling me i can order it. Hoping it will be available this week. Might give them a phone tomorrow in fact.
Very tempted with the K800, but it's got M2 memory cards instead of Duo.
hell of a lot easer to pocket than a laptop tho.
ill be looking for another pda phone next and this is on the shortlist

Are you thinking of the M600 or W950?
i think hes thinking of the w950
That reminds me, gotta have a moan at BT (screwing around with my old contract which my parents are still on) - Thats added to the list of things to do tomorrow
My missus has a p990 and it seems really buggy.
I`m a big fan of se phones but from using the p990 and seeing how many times she has to remove the battery to reboot the thing after a crash I dont want one
tried a firmware upgrade on it Kopite?
It's been out a month now, i'd be surprised if there wasn't a newer version that fixes most of the memory issues with the phone. firmware updates are pretty easy with the USB connector and the software downloaded from the SE site.
Its her work phone and they have a techy bloke who seems to be a know all so i`ll leave them to enjoy fixing them all
I have my w850i and its solid
The long awaited P990 is a bit of a mixed bag for my customers (work in a phone shop) for such a hyped phone its not great. Some people complain about the fct that they have made the screen smaller, but In their defence it is VERY sharp and has a fantastic range of colors making it a very usable phone.
It is still a bit big and they have done nothing for the wieght but it does have pretty much all features needed for most people. But it depends on what you need out of a phone.
We have had a few with small round blotches on the screens that look like there from pressure, (maybe in transit?) so watch out for that id your order one.
I personally prefer the XDA range on O2 but what network are you looking for?
Cheers guys for the comments.
After what i've read here, and heard elsewhere think i'll give it a miss.
Think i might give the w850 a go
bah wait for the w950 tbh
