    What happen if I unlock my Vario 2 ?

    Hi just got a Vario 2 from T-mobile. Wanna try unlock it, but will doing that disable my 3G capability ? Cause i use web-and-walk quite a lot.
    Primary kit:
    Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
    Epson RD-1

    Film Kit:
    Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

    Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8

    i dont see why it should? why do you want to unlock it?

    I imagine that you'll only have '3G' with a 3g provider, ie t-mobile or Three... if you were to put an o2 sim in there i imagine you'll just have a 2G (2.5G?) phone

    unlocking will not disable 3G capability. for further info refer to xda forum

    further update:

    i unlocked my Vario II and happly using with 3 network now

    I've unlocked and upgraded the firmware of my Vario II. Takes 30 minutes and is well worth it.

    Using the latest HTC firmware and its a lot more responsive and bug free than the default T-Mobile firmware.

    02 have 3g network too. All of the major networks in the UK are 3g now.

    Update: i'm getting download speed more than 1 meg most of the time. I understand / read from other forums that three has enabled HSDPA in London area
