    Digital music conversion/retagging/filing

I have finally moved my wife's music over to our main compy and I have only just realized it is a bloody disaster area. It is in mp3 and aac (not drm'ed) and the tags are a disaster. Loads of them are in a giant 'compilation' folder. It makes my head hurt as it is sending things screwy in iTunes and WMP (which i use because it is now windows media connect and so streams my music to my 360). What I want is a proggy that will convert to mp3, correctly tag and organise in the correct folders. Either that or me and my usb hdd spend a day sorting it! Any ideas?

I use cdex. It gets everything from cddb and encodes nicely as well.

I tend to use mp3bookhelper - if only because I'm used to it - but it does the job of tagging, renaming and connecting to freedb.

But I'm not aware that it can do any automatic creation of folders.

I'm a fan on Tag & Rename, does a damned good job, and recognises many file types for tagging.
