    Missing Recycle Bin

Hi all, I'm running Vista Home Premium 32bit and I've somehow made the Recycle bin disapear from the desktop and don't seem to be able to find it.

Does anyone know where the Recycle bin would be on my harddrive so I could make another shortcut to the desktop, or even post up the link given in Vista for the Recycle bin (eg C:/Windows/Rubbish/Recycle/bin)

    Thanks,

Ohh its still letting me put things in the bin, just I dont have the option to empty it with the icon on desktop

I'm not sure it works the same way as in XP, but if you right click on the desktop, go to properties, search through the menu there, it should allow you to chose what you have displayed on the desktop.

Nah you don't need to do that in Vista:

That'll do it too, but I was referring more to

"Here is the correct way to go by it. And mind you this is for Vista, right click on the desktop then click personalize, once there look to the left pane near the top and click Change Desktop Icons, this is where you choose which icons you want to appear on your desktop, close/OK out and you're all done. "

rather the registry editing shenanigans - either/or will do it.

Did the computer overhear you saying 'throw out the rubbish' and interpret that as get rid of the bin?
