Server 2003/Win XP network - hide shortcut if app not present?

    Hi

This post WAS a lot more detailled before the google toolbar blocked the install of iespell (the spell check) and refreshed the page, deleting the whole post.

So, we used to run an RM Community Connect 3 network whereby the shortcut for an application used to hide itself if the app wasn't found.

We've got a new server 2003/win xp network and would like to do the same ting. Problem is we don't know how RM did it.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

I'm guessing it would fall under the remit of group policy, but even though I worked with RM Community Connect 3, I wouldn't have a clue how they did it.

I've had a quick browse and think it's an RM app called Desktop Agent, which is built on ScriptLogic's Desktop Authority:

    http://www.scriptlogic.com/products/desktopauthority/

    But I'd need to check
