Its normal, in fact I'm hard pressed to remember when any software I've bought had anything like a substantial manual other than a thin 'get you started' booklet.
However, the built-in (and online) Office 2007 help is very detailed and actually pretty good
I haven't seen printed manuals with any software for years.
Online help is much better, at least it is searchable.
Mediator 8 Pro comes with a rather meaty printed manual, but yeah, other than a leaflet is about all I've seen recently.
Who remembers the huge book you recieved when you bought a new pc(486) with windows installed. "Microsoft Windows for Workgroups & MS-DOS 6.2". I still have a copy.
Now thats what you call a manual.
And there was the half tonne of stuff you got with things like Visual C++, Borland Delphi/C etc.
Software came in things resembling shoe boxes for a reason
At least it felt like you were getting your moneys worth.
Pah! Lightweights! Somewhere around my office I have a set of treeware for SCO OpenServer v5; about a dozen volumes, I think, and that's before I get on to the rainforest annihilation zone that was our last package for Informix...
