    cloning hard drive

    i've got a 20gig hard drive as C: and a 60gig hard drive as my D: with films on it.

    what i want to know is can i clone the C: drive onto the D: drive without losing the films?

    basically i want the 60gig as the C: and the 20gig as D: with the films on it.

    any advice?

    Norton Ghost would do a good job for what you want, you can check it at www.symantec.com then go to home products

    what do you mean exactly? There are switches that you can use with Ghost when the source and destination partitions are not the same size, is this the case, if so let me know and I will get you the switches if you want?

    then i'll have C:, D:, G: drives

    i can then ghost all C: onto G: then ghost D: onto C: then G: onto D: then delete the unused partition.

    long way round maybe?

    is there a quicker way?

    C->G
    D->C
    G->D
    Basically you want to swap the C and the G drive? is that correct?
    Why not cut out the step with Ghost completely and use PQmagic simply to change drive letters and active partitions? then copy the data where you want it afterwards?
