    how to uninstall vista

    I want to uninstall vista ultimate which i was just checking out, but didn't seem to keen on tbh.
    At the moment its dual booting with xp pro so i wanna revert back to xp only

    delete the vista partition and with the windows cd boot into the recovery console and type
    Code:
    fix mbr
    and
    Code:
    fix boot
    .

    Note these worked with the vista beta they might not with the retail version

    You can use VistaBootPro to uninstall the Vista bootloader and restore the XP boot at the single click of a button on the bootloader tab.

    i'd just load my windows xp cd and reinstall. with everything backed up of course.

    Surely thats a total waste of time, when the two ways above are much quicker and less painful?

    oops my bad, i though he installed vista on the same drive/partition as xp.
