    Best Linux Distro For Old G3 iMac

    As per title really. Got an old G3 where the OS has got mangled, hence I got it cheap. Needs a re-install of OS9 classic. So I thought I'd slap some Linux goodness on it.

    So, what's good for old Macs?

    try an ubuntu powerpc release - assuming you have a reasonable amount of ram.

    you could always look at faithful yellow dog although desipte touting new releases a lot of packges are dated.
