OK, just reinstalled Nero 6 and it's rubbish. Hate it.
What's your CD writing software of choice?
Thanks

Nero 6.
Why do you hate it? It's way better than anything such as "Easy CD Creator".
Toast, tho Mac os will burn nearly everything i want.
The Caped Crusader :-)
Maybe not 'hate', but it's got a function for making miniDVDs (VOB files on a CD). And it really screws them up to the extent of them not playing on most DVD players.Originally posted by Enverex

So I'm looking for something better. I preferred Nero5 but would rather look at current versions.
I use cloneCD and Nero 6.
Anyone know of a free Mt Rainier plugin/software?
Another vote for Alcohol 120%, tho I also use Nero 6 sometimes and can't really complain tbh.
Nero 5.5 and Clone CD for me.
As for Nero 6, its full of bugs but getting better, its also bloatware compared to 5.5.
'If it aint broke don't try to fix it...'
Maybe I'm odd, but I was really impressed with Nero V6.0, especially the Video Express function, absolutely great for burning several mpeg files to DVD, all indexed.
Ony critiscism is that it turned it's nose up at an ISO file that showed as 697Mb, saying there wasn't enough room on a 700Mb CD. ISO in question was Mandrake 9.2 Disc Two, so I burned all three Mandrake discs to a DVD.
Also use Clone CD and have been meaning to check out Alcohol, have heard good things about it.
