VLC client, winamp and a download manager of some sort.
i use www.freedownloadmanager.org
HTH!
Programs I have on mine:
- Paint.net
- skype
- mozilla firefox
- foxit reader
- open office
- daemon tools
- avg anti virus free (nb: for some reason when doing a system scan, it slows the computer down to buggery, in XP you could do a full scan and still be doing whatever. Might be fixed in future)
- msn messenger
- using windows mail atm, want outlook 07 but it's prohibitively expensive![]()
Yea, I've got it on my xp install actually.
It just seems to be a reskinned version of OE though. Which is all windows mail is too.. actually.
I want outlook because it will sync with my windows mobile phone, which unfortunately thunderbird wont![]()
Kapersky security suite is good for Vista covers everything from checking your mail to virus checking.
Or
A good free anti-virus is AVG it should work with Vista's firewall, maybe with Vista's defender.........a good belt and braces if anyone is not confident in MS ability to protect a computer from nasties.
Does anyone here use Avast antivirus? It's completely free and seems to be doing a good job for me, but always interested in trying out others if they're considered to be "better".

Nope, never used it. I've got VirusScan enterprise on my laptop, and NOD32 on my machines at home, and its a lot better![]()
