    New ffdshow

Looks like ffdshow has been forked. The last update was sometime last year, although there hasn't been much progress on it for a while.

ffdshow-tryouts is the new project. They appear to be making some pretty good progress so far, apparently 50 issues have been sorted in the curent builds.

There is a short thread on the MediaPortal forums about it, processor utilisation seems to have dropped significantly for some.

Thanks for the update. I used to use ffdshow for a long time. Just recently switched to CoreAVC due to lower processor usage.

FFDShow has continued to be developed since - just posted on the official SourceForge page (unofficial builds perhaps?) :S

Other sites have been carrying builds, including Free Codecs here, and this SourceForge group here too.

I had only got as far as the update which added dual core compatibility.
